My name is Mary Ann, and I started web designing and blogging back when I was 13 years old. As life tends to happen, I went off to college and started focusing on my career and local community. I love what I do and I love the positive impact my organization is making.
Yet, my creative side has been itching to do something. As most people my age tend to do, I have a bucket list. Reopening a website has been sitting pretty high on the list… along with doing the flying trapeze, but that’s a story for another day.
I’m an only child. I’ve found creative ways to entertain myself through the years. I read A LOT – books, blogs, news articles, people, you name it. I’d like to think that my penchant for reading has helped me gain a better understanding of style in many forms. I find beauty in the mundane – I like cheering on snails after a rainy day.
Oh yeah! I’m also married! He’s goofy; he makes me laugh until I can’t breathe and my bones hurt. He doesn’t complain when I ask him to get something from the kitchen after he’s just come back from said kitchen. He doesn’t hesitate when I ask him to put on Broad City even if I’ve seen the episode a million times over. He also saves drowning bees to make me happy. I appreciate that. Our little family also includes our pug, Frank. He’s amazing and he makes life that much more awesome.
My ultimate dream is to live in a colorful symmetrical Wes Anderson world with a soundtrack mixed by The Avett Brothers, Mayer Hawthorne, the Foo Fighters, and the Weeknd. I might get a lot of heat for this, but I don’t care – I like Solange over Beyonce. She gets me.
